Manages Human Resources Department, ensuring compliance with the company and hotel policies and procedures; and Hong Kong legislations pertaining to employment practices;
Interprets and explains the Hotel’s Human Resources policies and procedures, on behalf of management, to all employees as needed to ensure they are properly implemented and maintained and that a balanced and objective view of the personnel implications is reported;
Ensures that all employees truly understand their roles and responsibilities through proper governance;
Plans, controls and effectively manages the overall labour costs to maximize hotel profit margin;
Reviews personnel policies, procedures and practices in regard to employment, disciplines, grievances and labour relations and recommends changes or improvements to management, as and when needed;
Reviews hotel compensation and benefits levels internally and externally to ensure equitable compensation and benefits for all levels of employees;
Develops and implements a system of recruitment and screening procedures in order to attract most qualified candidates for position vacancies;
Assesses, recommends and oversees training and development needs for hotel personnel to ensure compliance with performance standards;
Prepares and submits related periodic reports for management in accordance with divisional and hotel requirement;
Ensures employee records of all levels, as well as legal documents, policies and procedures and other personnel related files are well maintained and updated timely;
Performs human resources functions to ensure that staff are selected, trained, counseled and rewarded properly to support the upkeeping of performance standards.
Bachelor Degree in Human Resource, Hotel & Catering Management or related disciplines;
Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience, of which 3 years in a similar managerial position, preferably gained in the hospitality industry;
Extensive knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and HR related legislations;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good problem solving, analytical, reasoning and motivating capabilities;
Hands-on experience on HRIS;
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese ;
Proficient in MS Office applications and Chinese word processing.
