Business Team Overview:
Market & Financing Services (MFS) is a specialist team within BNP Paribas Securities Services (BP2S) that manages discretionary and typically front office or banking based activities services for BP2S clients such as foreign exchange, deposits and equities and fixed income lending & borrowing. In conjunction with these client based activities MFS is responsible for managing the Asset & Liability Management and Treasury (ALM&T) for BP2S, which is a global bank with over ten branches around the world. ALM&T activities include overall funding for the branches, setting of the BP2S benchmark interest rates and account management for all current/daily treasury and structured treasury flows with over 1,800,000 notices daily across more than 1,700 nostro accounts and a collateral portfolio of over Euro 6billion in assets.
MFS Middle Office is a regional team which provides support to the Front Office FX/MM and ALMT desks. Middle Office is responsible for checking the positions, P&L and risk exposure of the Front Office. Being a small team in a dynamically changing environment, project management is a key component of the role as new systems, products and procedures are constantly being implemented.
